19.4 Adding a Module

What is a Module?

The Module Addon lets you add pre-created modules to the web pages of your website. The selected Module will be displayed in the position where you have added the addon. For example, if you created a module to display events from your school calendar, then you could insert that module here and it will be displayed on the page.

How to Add a  Module Addon

You can add a Joomla Module addon to your page from the SP Page Builder sidebar. Simply drag the addon from the Addons panel and drop it on the column section of the page where you want to display it.

Module Addon Options

The module addon comes with two main options:

  • Content
  • Title

Content

The Content > Type option, has 2 of the following editing options:

  • Module
  • Position

In the Type option, there are two available dropdown options. One is “Module” and another one is “Position”. You would select “Module” if you want to add a module to the addon by. choosing its Module name. Upon selecting the Module the option for choosing the desired module name will be revealed.

If you want to add a module by choosing its position (as set in the module's own position settings), you would select the ‘Position’ option. After selecting the Position, options for choosing the desired module position will be revealed.

Title

The Title option will allow you to add text to the title and edit the text in terms of color and typography. The purpose of the title is to express the naming of the section you just added to the addon. If you want to add the title, you just have to add it in the title text box, it will be automatically added to the addon section. Also, choose the HTML element and set margins according to your preference. Often, no Title is needed for a module.
