13.4 Sway & Canva Weblinks

Adding Sway or Canva weblinks for Newsletters is essentially the same task.

When you create a new Sway newsletter, a new URL will be created for it - in Canva you need to create what they call a Smart Link.

13.3.2 Creating the new Sway Weblink

  1. Open your Sway and click the Share button in the top-right navigation bar

  2. Set Permissions: Select "Anyone with a link"

  3. Next to the URL you will see a 'Copy' icon. Copy it and this is the URL you'll use.

13.3.3 Creating the new Canva Weblink

To start, for each new Newsletter you can get the Smart Link by following these steps in the Canva platform:

Open your design in Canva.

  1. Click the Share button in the top-right corner of the editor.

  2. In the dropdown menu, click More (at the very bottom of the list).

  3. Type "Embed" in the search bar or scroll down to find the Embed icon. Click it.

  4. If you haven't enabled embedding yet, click the purple Embed button to make the design public.

  5. You will see two options: HTML embed code and Smart embed link.

  6. Click Copy next to the Smart embed link.
